KM-01: Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality introduces learner electricians to the legal, safety, environmental and quality requirements that underpin professional electrical work. The course develops an understanding of workplace legislation and compliance, safe working practices, hazard and risk awareness, emergency procedures, environmental responsibilities, incident reporting and the importance of maintaining quality standards.
The course is structured around three core learning units: Law and Compliance, Safe Working Practice, and Emergency, Environment and Reporting, supported by knowledge checks, assessments and reference resources.
By completing this course, learners should be better prepared to work responsibly within regulated electrical environments, recognise and respond to workplace hazards, follow established safety procedures, contribute to environmental protection, and maintain the standards of conduct and quality expected of a competent electrician.
This module forms part of the Occupational Certificate: Electrician programme and establishes the safety and compliance foundation required for subsequent theoretical and practical learning.
